The website yourbusiness deserves.Built properly, from scratch.

We design and build custom websites for companies that are serious about how they show up online. No templates, no plugins doing the heavy lifting, no shortcuts that cost you later.

where you stand02 / Our read

Most business websites quietly underperform. They look fine, they load, they exist. But they don't sell, don't rank, and don't reflect the actual quality of the business behind them.

I.The usual story

You paid for a website a few years ago. It feels its age now.

It was built on a template. The person who built it has moved on. Now it loads slowly, the design feels dated, and updating anything is a small project of its own. You know it's costing you, but it never quite makes it to the top of the list.

II.What we think the move is

The next website you commission should be the last one you commission for a long time.

Built on a stack that ages well. Designed around how your business actually wins customers. Set up so you can run it, not babysit it. That's the work we do.

services03 / What we do

Three things, done well. Web design and development is the heart of what we do. SEO and Meta Ads exist to make sure the website we just built actually gets seen and used.

/ 01PRIMARY

Web Design & Development

Custom websites, built from scratch.

Every website we build is written line by line. No themes, no page builders, no plugin stacks held together with hope.

We work in modern frameworks like Next.js, which means your site is fast, secure, and easy to scale when your business grows into the next thing. We treat design and development as one job, not two. Nothing gets lost in handover, because there is no handover.

Businesses replacing a tired old site, companies launching a new arm or product, founders who want to stop apologising for their website in sales calls.

SEO

Get found by the people already searching for you.

SEO is not magic and we will not pretend it is.

It is the slow, deliberate work of making sure search engines understand what your business does and trust you enough to send people your way. We handle technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content structure, and the kind of housekeeping most websites quietly skip.

Meta Ads

Paid traffic that pays for itself.

Running ads on Facebook and Instagram without a plan is the fastest way to burn a budget.

We build campaigns that match the website we just sent traffic to, so the ad, the landing page, and the offer all say the same thing. Creative, copy, audience setup, testing, reporting. Same operator, end to end.

how we work05 / Process

A website project is mostly a series of small decisions made in the right order. We've done this enough times to know which ones matter and which ones quietly waste weeks.

/ 01

One person, end to end

The person who scopes the project is the same person who designs it, builds it, and is on the call when something needs fixing six months later.

Scope · Design · Build · Care
/ 02

Decisions before pixels

We don't open Figma on day one. We start by getting clear on what the website is actually for, who it speaks to, and what counts as a win.

Why · Who · What · Then how
/ 03

Built to last, not to impress

A website that wins design awards but loads in eight seconds is a bad website. We optimise for the boring stuff first.

/ 04

Quiet during, available after

Clear updates at clear milestones, not constant messages. After launch, we stick around. Documentation, training, and a real human to call when something breaks.

01

Discovery call — 30 to 45 min

No commitment

A conversation. We get to know your business, your customers, and what you actually need this website to do. No commitment, no slides, no hard sell.

02

Proposal & scope

Fixed price

A clear, written proposal. Fixed price, fixed scope, fixed timeline. You know what you're signing up for before you sign anything.

03

Strategy & structure

Wk 01

Sitemap, content plan, key user flows. Approved by you before any visual work begins.

04

Design in Figma

Wk 02 — 04

Full design in Figma. One round of structural feedback, then refinements. You see and approve every screen before we touch code.

05

Build & staging

Wk 04 — 08

Custom development. Weekly check-ins, a staging link to watch the site come to life, and clear notes on what changed each week.

06

Launch

Wk 08 — 10

Final review, testing across devices, content load, go-live. We handle the technical side. You just say go.

07

Handover & support

+ 30 days

Documentation, a recorded training walkthrough, and a 30-day support window included with every build. After that, optional retainers if you want them.

value06 / Why it's worth it

A new website is not a line item. It's an asset that earns its keep every day for the next several years.

/ 01

A website that earns trust before the first call.

By the time a serious customer reaches out, they've already made up their mind. Your website did the convincing. A clean, fast, well-written site signals that the business behind it is the same.

/ 02

A site that grows with the business, not against it.

Most websites become a problem in year two. New page, new product, new pricing structure, and suddenly you're paying someone to break things. Built properly, a site bends instead of breaking.

/ 03

Search traffic that compounds.

A site built with proper structure and clean technical foundations doesn't just look better. It quietly climbs in search results, month after month. The work pays back long after the invoice is closed.

/ 04

One operator. One bill. One number to call.

Most businesses end up paying three different people for design, development, and maintenance. We collapse that into one engagement. Faster decisions, fewer meetings, and no finger-pointing when something needs fixing.

investment07 / Pricing

Honest pricing, written down. We don't quote a number until we understand the project, but here's what the floor looks like and how engagements are typically shaped.

/ 02 SEO

Quoted as a monthly engagement.

$220+ · / month

We don't believe in fixed SEO packages. Every business needs a different shape of work. Pricing scales with the technical audit and the work we plan from it.

  • Technical SEO & on-page optimisation
  • Content structure & internal linking
  • Monthly reporting on what actually moved
  • Ongoing engagement, not a one-time fix

/ 03 Meta Ads

Monthly management, separate from ad spend.

$300+ · / month

Pricing depends on campaign complexity, creative volume, and how many funnels we're running. We don't markup ad spend.

  • Campaign architecture & audience setup
  • Creative + copy iteration
  • Testing, scaling, weekly reporting
  • Same operator end to end as your build

/ How we bill

Three milestones, three payments.

A deposit to lock the start date, a payment at design approval, and the balance at launch. You only pay for what we've actually delivered.

/ No retainers

No contract you can't leave.

We don't lock you in. If you stop needing us, you stop paying us. Optional support after launch, never required.

/ No hidden costs

Recurring costs, on the table.

Hosting, domains, paid plugins, third-party tools. If something has a recurring cost, we tell you about it before the project starts.

meet the founder08 / Who you'll work with

The Web Company is led by the same person who'll be on every call, every design review, and every line of code.

Nikhil Jadhav, founder of The Web Company╴ Nikhil J.Goa / Gurgaon ╶

Nikhil Jadhav

Founder · The Web Company

Nikhil started building websites in 2017 and has been at it ever since. What began as a freelance practice has grown into a small studio working with clients across India, the UK, the US, Canada, Dubai, and Africa. The work has spanned ecommerce stores, education platforms, real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, and a few industries he never thought he'd touch.

He runs The Web Company out of two offices in India, Goa and Gurgaon, and has spent the last several years moving from WordPress and page builders to fully custom builds in modern frameworks. The shift was simple. Templates run out of room. Custom builds don't.

When he's not at his desk, he's probably reading, lifting, or losing an argument about astrology.

frequently asked

The questions we get asked most, answered honestly.

If yours isn't here, ask us on the call.

How long does a typical project take?

+

Most websites take six to ten weeks from kickoff to launch. Smaller sites move faster. Larger builds with custom integrations or multiple stakeholders take longer. We commit to a timeline in the proposal, and we hold ourselves to it.

Do you work with clients outside India?

+

Yes. We work with clients across the UK, US, Canada, Dubai, and Africa. Time zones, currencies, and contracts are not a problem. We've done this for years.

Can you redesign or rebuild an existing site?

+

Yes, and this is one of the things we do most. Often the brief is "we already have a website, but we hate it." We're comfortable working from a starting point, an old codebase, or a blank page.

What if I already have a designer or branding agency?

+

That's fine. We can work alongside them, take their designs and build them properly, or pick up wherever they left off. We don't insist on owning every part of the project.

Do you offer ongoing support after launch?

+

Every project includes a 30-day support window for fixes and tweaks after launch. After that, we offer optional retainer plans for ongoing maintenance, content updates, and small improvements. No pressure to sign up.

Do you write the copy too?

+

We help with structure and direction, and we'll edit what you have. For full copywriting, we'd typically bring in a writer or work with one you already trust. We don't pretend to be a copy shop.

What platforms do you build on?

+

We mostly build in modern frameworks suited to fast, custom websites. The exact stack depends on what the project needs. We pick tools based on the job, not based on what we already know.

What does "starts from $300" actually mean?

+

It's the floor for very small projects. A single landing page for a clear, simple offer can fit inside that. Anything with multiple pages, custom features, or integrations sits well above it. We'll quote your specific project after a discovery call.

Why should I work with you instead of an agency?

+

Because you'll work directly with the person doing the work. Agencies charge more partly because they have layers, and those layers cost both money and time. We don't have layers. The trade-off is we're selective about who we take on.

What if the project doesn't work out?

+

You're paid up to the milestone, we hand over what's been done, and we part ways cleanly. We've never had it happen, but we believe in saying so out loud.

next steps10 / Get started

Three steps to get started. The clock starts when you reply.

/ 01

Send a brief

Tell us about your business, what the website needs to do, and roughly when you'd like it live. A few sentences is enough. We'll come back with questions or a calendar link, usually within a working day.

/ 02

Discovery call

A 30 to 45 minute conversation. Free, no commitment. We get to know your business and you get to know how we work. By the end of it, both sides know whether this is a fit.

/ 03

Proposal & kickoff

If we're a fit, we send a written proposal with fixed price, scope, and timeline. Once it's signed and the deposit lands, your start date is locked.
